Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

1. What is an ISRC and why do I need it?

An ISRC is a unique identifier assigned to a specific recording (audio or video). It helps platforms and rights systems track plays, usage reporting, and catalog data accurately.

Usually, yes. Different recordings or versions (radio edit, clean edit, remaster, live version, alternate mix) typically require different ISRCs. If you’re unsure, tell us what versions you’re releasing and we’ll guide you.

Yes. We can issue ISRCs for audio tracks and video tracks.

At minimum: artist name, track title, version info (if any), and how many tracks you’re releasing. For packages, we’ll also ask for your tracklist and any version notes.

Embedding means installing the ISRC into the file’s metadata so the identifier travels with the file. Some distributors handle ISRCs inside their system, but embedding is helpful for clean archiving, professional delivery, and certain workflows.

No. Embedding edits metadata fields and should not change the audio content. We still verify files after processing.

Yes. We offer batch embedding for multiple audio  files, and we can coordinate an expedited timeline when available.

Issuance orders are delivered via email with PDF/TXT documentation (and a list/template for packages). Embedding orders include the updated, ISRC-embedded files returned in the agreed formats.
